MILMA HIKED RS 5 PER LITRE FOR MILK

Milma has hiked the price of milk by Rs 5 a litre and also hiked the price of cattle feed by Rs 200 a sack. The new price will come into effect from Sunday. The special committees meet held by Milma chairman PT Gopalakurup took the decision. As per the new charges, the price for a litre of toned milk in blue cover will cost Rs 33 (old price Rs 28). For double toned milk the new price is Rs 32 and for jersey Rs 35. For rich plus its Rs 37. The price for Milma standardized milk is Rs 36 (Rs 31) and price of half litre curd is Rs 20 now. The cattle farmers will get Rs 4.60 after the hike. 20 paise would be given to agents and collection groups. A 50 kg sack of cattle feed is now priced at Rs 850.
