TEARFUL ADIEU TO
TRAIN ACCIDENT VICTIMS

Aroor village on Monday24th September,2012, bid tearful adieu to Kalathil Sumesh (26), and Nefin (3), who were among the five killed on Sunday when their car was hit by a train at an unmanned level crossing near Aroor railway station. The body of Nefin, son of  Neythupurackal Vincent, was taken for funeral in a procession to the St. Augustine Church cemetery, while the body of Sumesh, the car driver, was cremated at his house compound in Aroor. A hartal was observed in Aroor till 1 p.m. on Monday. Some immediate compensation was given to the families of Sumesh and Nefin by Chertala tahsildar P.S. Rajeev. The bodies of Chellappan (65) of Poochakkal and K.A. Narayanan (65) of Perumbalam were cremated at their house courtyards in the district. The body of Karthikeyan (70), of Elamkunnapuzha in Ernakulam, was cremated at his residence.
