INFANT FELL INTO 20 –FOOT-DEEP PIT
A one-and-half-year-old boy fell into a 20-foot-deep pit dug by the Electricity Department at Chkuma on Sunday evening91st July,2012).Sachin fell into the pit at the late evening hours at an area near Palam Vihar.The pit was dug for some earthing work. Besides a rescue team, fire, medical and police personnel have reached the spot. Oxygen is being supplied through a pipe to the child, identified as Sachin, Chief Medical Office Parveen Garg said.A CCTV camera has been lowered into the pit, which showed the child was conscious, he said.The incident comes six days after rescuers pulled out four-year-old Mahi dead from a 70-foot-deep borewell near Manesar, where she was trapped for four days.
