EXECUTE KOCHI METRO CONSTRUCTION WORK

Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath Monday 9th July,2012, said that the construction work of Kochi Metro
Rail project will be carried out by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).However,
the minister said that it is up to the Kochi Metro Rail Company decide on how
they want to tap the services of DMRC Managing Director E. Sreedharan.The Union
Urban Development Ministry put an end to the confusion about who will be
entrusted with the construction work of the project.The Union government has an
equal participation in the the work as the the Kochi Metro is a Centre-state
project. The Central government is giving top priority to the project. The
work will be started as early as possible, the minister said.
