CONSTABLE STABBED TO DEATH

: A police constable was stabbed to death while
carrying out search operations in a vehicle during his night patrol duty on
June 26, 2012..Maniyan Pillai (47), of Parippally police station, was killed
when he and ASI Joy were trying to check a vehicle which was found parked in
suspicious circumstances at Kulamada junction.During their search the police
officials had found that the vehicle did not have proper documents. When ASI
Joy tried to take the persons sitting in the Maruti van into custody they
turned violent and stabbed the ASI.Maniyan Pillai, who tried to blunt the
attack, also stabbed. The attackers escaped on the vehicle. Meanwhile,
police have said that they have got enough clues about the attacker. They are
heading to Tamil Nadu.
