HEART FAILURE SUMMIT IN KERALA

A two-day summit on heart failure, first of its kind in Kerala, would begin at Kumarakom on Saturday16th June, 2012. The summit organised by Heart Failure Society of India, is the second to be held in the country after Hyderabad. Experts from the state and outside would discuss and submit thesis on the increasing prevalence of heart failure and various aspects of treatment during the summit, head of cardiology section of medical college here Dr Raju George told reporters Thursday. He said modern treatment facilities and new devices would be introduced in the summit. Summit Secreary Dr. V L Jayaprakash said heart patients would die within three to five years if they do not get better treatment facilities.
