557
VILLAGES TO BE DECLARED AS MODEL VILLAGES
A total of 557
villages in Kerala would be declared as model villages in the next financial
year.
Seventeen village offices had already been announced as model village offices, which had been fully computerised and various services offered to people without delay, official sources said Sunday6th May,2012. The Revenue department would install software to check fraudulent land transactions and land-related documents would be computerised in all model village offices.
A RELIS (Revenue Land Information System) has been developed on the guidelines issued under centrally-sponsored scheme, National Land Records Modernisation Programme, to record all land transactions in a central database. The scheme would interlink the departments of revenue, registration and survey.
