Tamil actress and DMK politician, Khusboo Sundar, has asked women to empower themselves before asking for women's empowerment in Parliament or Assembly. "Why speak of women's empowerment? Kerala is 100 per cent literate. But how many women are career oriented? Quite surprising not many," the 41-year-old said while addressing management students here. "Women should come out of the shell they have created and need to fight for their rights within themselves. We need to realise that we are the biggest force. We need to empower ourselves before asking for women's empowerment in Parliament and assemblies," she added.
