A WALK TO PROTECT EARTH

Minister for Health V.S. Sivakumar, Mayor K. Chandrika, and State Bank of Travancore managing director P. Nandakumaran led the Earth Walk organised by the bank in the city on Monday, 22nd April,2012, in connection with World Earth Day. Former Ambassador T.P. Sreenivasan, INKEL managing director T. Balakrishnan, and Kerala Sports Council president Padmini Selvan joined the Minister and others in the walk that began from Kowdiar Square.SBT general managers; hundreds of employees of the bank, Kerala State Road Transport Corporation, and HLL Lifecare Ltd.; members of the SBTfootball and cricket teams; and people from various walks of life participated in the walk.The participants, attired in T-shirts and caps having the Earth Day logo, carried placards featuring Earth Day slogans.

Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy, Kottarakara Unit also organized a Walk for Earth Protection on 22^nd and arranged a Seminar at Kurakar Town Center. Prof. John Kurakar, Dr. T.C Mathew, Dr Muraleedharan.K  ,Prof Varghese John, Prof. Varghese Varghese led Earth Walk and Seminar.
