TRIBUTE PAID TO MONSIGNOR A.J ROZARIO, FORMER PRINCIPAL OF
 FATIMA MATA NATIONAL COLLEGE

Monsignor A.J Rozario, former principal of Fatima Mata National College and former vicar general of the Kollam diocese, passed away at Holy Cross Hospital, Kottiyam, and early 10th April, 2012, Tuesday morning. He was 83. The funeral rites will be held at the chapel in the Holy Cross hospital complex at 3 p.m on Wednesday. After completing his sacerdotal studies at Rome, Fr Rozario, hailing from Klapana in Kollam district, started his priestly services as assistant parish priest in the Tangasseri Holy Cross parish. He then joined Fatima Mata National College as commerce lecture and became Principal of the college in 1969, a post he held till 1969, a post he held till 1984, thus becoming the longest serving Principal of the college,from1948 to 2006,he was manager of the college. As Principal, he promoted academic, sports, and artistic talents among the students. He was very sympathetic towards students from economically weak families.
Kurakar Cultural Forum arranged a condolence meeting on 11th April at 4.30 pm at Kurakar City Center, Kottarakara. Prof. John Kurakar, President, Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy presided.
