 ACTRESS BABY JOSEPH

Veteran actress Baby Joseph has passed away at a hospital .She was 88. She is survived by a son and five daughters. The funeral will be held on Thursday12TH April, 2012.. Baby had acted in the 1948 film 'Nirmala', the fourth talkie in Malayalam. It was directed by P V Krishna Iyer and produced by P J Cherian, her father-in-law. The film introduced playback singing in Malayalam cinema and was also the first film produced by a Keralite. Cherian's son Joseph was cast as hero. The film was released on February 25, 1948.
