KAKKANDAN AWARD PRESENTED TO
WRITER T. PADMANABHAN
The maiden Kakkanadan Award instituted by the Kollam Taluk Library Council was presented to writer T. Padmanabhan by Communist Party of India(Marxist) Polit Bureau member M.A. Baby at a function here on Monday24th April,2012. In his address after receiving the award, Mr. Padmanabhan said these days young and middle-aged writers were desperately hunting for awards. Such persons spent a good portion of the day in finding who would be the best person to cultivate to get an award.He said that he had never gone behind anyone for an award and would never do so.
