The meeting of the representatives of the various charitable and social organizations in Kottarakara was held at Kottarakara Kurakar Town center on 15^th March, 2012 at 4 pm and decided to observe “World Water Day on 22^nd March,2012. Prof. John Kurakar presided. Mr. Mohanan Nair, Neelaswaram Sadasivan, Mr.K. Georgekutty, Mr Babu Oomman, Mr. K.K Joy Mr G. Vikraman Pillai spoke on the occasion.

Seven Organisation

Various awareness programmes, related Water, Sanitation, Health and Environment would conduct the joint auspicious  of Fresh Water Action Network of South Asia(FANSA), Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy, Kerala Palliative Care Initiative,, United Religious Initiative, Karickom Sandhunam Cancer Care Center, Kottarakara IAT Campus, Desiya Kavitha Vedi. The Associations would conduct  various seminars on “ Water, Sanitation, Food and Health, Climate Change, and Environment Protection on 22^nd March at 2pm. Dr. M.K>P Roy, Executive Secretary,FANSA, Dr. Abraham Karickom, Executive Secretary, United Religious Initiative, Mr Cheriyan P. Koshy, Sr.Scientist, Trophical Botanickal Garden,Palode, Dr. Rajan Idukkala will present  papers on the seminar. 5 pm on that day “ A Walk for Water and Sanitation would start from Kurakar Center to Kottarakara Manikandan Althara Maidanam. The Public meeting would start at  6 pm. Prof. John Kurakar, President,Kerala Palliative Care Initiative would preside over the public function Desya Kavitha Vedi members would present various Arts Programmes like Kavya Silpham and Kaviyarngu.

The following poets would participate the Kaviyangu- Mr Neelaswaram Sadasivan, Mr. Abraham Koipally, Mrs Kanaka Letha, Mr. G. Vikraman, Thazhava Gopi, Arun Kalapila, ,Ajayan Kottara, Kudavattoor Viswan,, Sreejayan Kottarakara, Aduthala Jayaprakash, Kottarkara B.Sudharma, M.P Viswanathan.
