KERALA SAHITYA ACADEMY COUNCIL RECONSTITUTED
The Kerala Sahithya Academy has been reconstituted with the induction of several leading writers in its general council. The writers nominated to the council by the government included Akbar Kakkattil, Vijayalakshmi, Jose Panachippuram, Girija Sethunath, Santhosh J K V, Ajith Menoth,Ibrahim Bevincha, Jennis Jacob, P K Parakkadavu, Sathyajith and Ajayapuram Joythis Kumar, an official release said Friday,23rd March,2012.Eminent novelist Perumbadavom Sreedharan was made president of the Academy, shortly after the Congress-led UDF Government came to power last year. The academy was headed by leading novelist M. Mukundan during the previous LDF rule.
