Jose Prakash bagged the J C Daniel Award and the award carries Rs 1 lakh prize money and a certificate.
Minister Ganesh Kumar announced the award in a press meet here on Friday. The award was given considering his overall contribution to drama and cinema field.Jose Prakash entered the cine field with his first movie `Seemanthaputhran' in 1926.
