SACHIN TENDULKAR- I AM NOT NOT GOD

SACHIN TENDULKAR-  I AM NOT NOT GOD

Sachin Tendulkar admitted that the intervening journey between his 99th and 100th international hundreds, was one of the toughest he has faced in his career.“It is been a tough journey especially when you know that you are batting well. I batted well in patches in England and in Mumbai (against the West Indies) I got close again but it did not happen. In Australia I was batting well in the beginning and I knew I was moving well but somehow the figure 100 was not happening,” he said. Cricket's most prolific batsman stressed on his human side through the media-interaction. “I am not God, I am a cricketer and I am Sachin.”
“After scoring 99 hundreds when you are still trying to score another 100, it shows its value. I don't play for milestones, I just play my cricket, I enjoy it but somehow there is this perception and perhaps it is you guys (media) sitting here, who keep writing about it. While playing, you do end up breaking records but I don't play for records,” Tendulkar said.Tendulkar felt that India posted a good score but gave credit to Bangladesh. “We felt that 275 was a good total on this pitch. We thought we had a decent total and in the end we thought we were in control but they played some good shots.
“If Australia can lose to South Africa after having scored 434 runs, who do you blame then? Sometime we defend scores of 250 and then no one talks about the bowlers. We should also give credit to Bangladesh, some how there is this opinion that they cannot play cricket. It is a under-rated side and today Shakib Al Hasan shifted the game's momentum.”He added that he will continue to play the game “as long as he enjoys it.”
