AMMONIA GAS LEAKED IN
 PONNANI AND AROOR
Many people including students were admitted to a hospital after ammonia gas leaked in two separate incidents in Ponnani and Aroor. In Ponnani the gas was leaked from an ice factory and 10 school students were admitted to a hospital with nausea and breathing problems. Many women on the premises of the factory also suffered discomfort. The incident occurred on Monday noon near Ponnani court. In Aroor, ammonia gas leaked from seafood products exporting company in industrial estate. Many persons including staffs were admitted with breathing problems. The condition of a woman is said to be serious. The gas leaked with full force from Abad Cold storage in Aroor and there were 42 persons including women who were working in the factory during that time. All ran out of the factory. Many collapsed on the road
and Rathimani, 24, from Aroor was injured seriously. She is admitted to Lakeshore hospital.
