HANDLOOM MELA BEGAN

District Collector P.G. Thomas inaugurated a five-day handloom Mela organised by the District Industries Centre (DIC) on the Kollam Press Club Maidan on December 20,2011.As many as 34 handloom cooperatives from five handloom circles in the district are participating in the event, the organisers said.As part of the programme, the DIC is also organising a value-added agro food Mela at the venue.
