ARUN DONATES ORGANS TO THREE PEOPLE

Arun, who died in an accident, defeated death by donating his organs to 3 people. Arun was confirmed brain dead and donated his organs to 3 people. The 21-year-old Arun surrendered to death but his kidneys, liver and eyes were donated.
Arun, son of George and Thresyamma from Tharappel Koodaranji, died in a bike accident last Friday. He was an engineering student at the Chennai Sevabharathi University and was in Kerala for a vacation. He was returning after attending the 50th anniversary of St Sebastian's school where he studied till plus two. When coming with his friends his bike overturned near Karamoola in Koodaranji and Arun was injured. His friends rushed him to a hospital in Mukkam, KMCT Medical college, from there to Kozhikode Medical college and finally to MIMS hospital.

But on Tuesday morning, doctors declared him brain dead though his internal organs were functional with the help of machines. One of his relatives asked his parents to donate his organs. The brain death committee confirmed his death and surgery was done. One kidney was donated to a patient in MIMS and the second one was given to a patient at the Kozhikode medical college. His liver was donated to a patient in Amritha hospital. George is a merchant in Koodaranji. Thresysamma is a teacher in Anayamkunnu VMHMHS. His sister Annmary is a plus two student .
