40 HAITIAN IMMIGRANTS
DROWN OFF CUBAN COAST
At least 40 Haitian illegal immigrants have drowned when their ship sank off the Cuban coast, Xinhua reported Sunday,26th Deember,2011.The accident took place Saturday off the Punta Maisi coast in Cuba. A search was on Sunday to find survivors, an official said. Eighty-seven people were rescued.Haiti, a Caribbean nation, is still recovering from a devastating 7.0-magnitude quake in 2010 that left more than 200,000 people dead.
