LAXMI ANAND CROWNED MISS SOUTH INDIA

 A native of Bangalore Laxmi Anand was crowned Miss South India in the contest that was held AT Kochi.Elizabeth Thadikkaran, who hails from Kochi and has won the Miss Kerala Navy Queen titles, ended up as the first runner up. Yamini Chander from Chennai was the second runner up.There were 16 participants from four south Indian states in the contest.

Miss South India beauty pageant Saturday at Gokulam Park Inn, Kaloor. With reigning beauty queens including Miss Kerala all set to raise the style stakes further as they vie hard to clinch the coveted crown, the ramp is sure to ablaze. Nadodikal fame Abhinaya too would be part of the glitzy event.The mega event, that consists of four sequences, would be judged by a prominent panel that includes Miss World first runner-up Parvathy Omanakuuttan, actor Sreekanth, actor Richa Pannai, super model Pooja Bhamrah, NRI designer Sajimon Parayil and media personality  Toshma Biju.The sixteen finalists are Elizabeth Thadikaran, Athira Ajith, Aswini Mathew, Thinkal Bhale, Yamini Chander, Kruthika Ravi, Neha, Abhinaya, Ashna Misra, Kanupriya, Palak Desai, Varsha Reddy, Laxmi Anand, Neha Ramesh, Reema Sequeira and Ranjitha.D.P.

Apart from the prestigious Miss South India crown designed by Mr and Mrs Prakashan Parakkat, subtitles such as Miss Beautiful hair, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Congeniality, Miss Cat Walk, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Perfect 10, Miss Talented, Miss Viewers’ Choice, Miss Photogenic would also be given.
