K SREEKUMAR BAGGED KERALEEYAM-VK MADHAVANKUTTY MEDIA AWARD

Mathrubhumi Kozhikode unit chief sub editor Dr K Sreekumar bagged the Keraleeyam-VK Madhavankutty media award 2011. The award is being given for the article series published in Mathrubhumi daily on the difficulties faced by train passengers `Ashubhayatra Arakshithayathra'. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 30,000, a plaque and a certificate. In the electronic media category Manu C Kumar of Manorama News Mumbai bagged the award.
