CHIEF MINISTER OOMMEN CHANDY’S HOUSE ATTACKED
Unidentified miscreants on Thursday,20th October,2011, night threw stones at the ancestral house of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at Puthuppally in the district.According to the police, the incident occurred at around 8.30 p.m. when miscreants threw stones at the house and fled the scene. The rear windshield of a Tata Indica car parked in front of the house was broken.Later, Rural Development Minister K.C. Joseph visited the house and took stock of the situation. Police security has been strengthened in and around the house following the incident.Meanwhile, Congress activists took out a protest march to Puthupally junction demanding arrest of those responsible. The police have already begun an investigation into the incident and the chief minister has left it to the police to do their job," his office said. Chandy has been representing the Puthupally assembly constituency since 1970 and has won every election since then
