SONA GANDHI BACK IN DELHI
AFTER SURGERY
New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi returned home early Thursday,8th September,2011 after undergoing successful surgery for an undisclosed ailment in the United States.Gandhi reached Delhi at 3 a.m., said party general secretary Janardan Dwivedi."She reached Delhi at 3 a.m. Her health condition is fine," Dwivedi said. The 64-year-old Congress leader had gone to the US early August. The nature of her ailment was not disclosed. Immediately after her departure, Congress had made a brief announcement saying Gandhi had been recently diagnosed
with a medical condition and was advised surgery.The Congress President had handed over reins of the party to a group of four comprising Rahul Gandhi and seniorA K Antony, Ahmed Patel and Dwivedi.Rahul had recently returned to India after attending to his ailing mother
