YOUTH PARLIAMENT AWARD

Chief minister Oomen Chandy announced the 2010-11 youth parliament awards. The first place goes to Palakkad KHS Muthandhara School, second place was bagged by Kozhikode Govt GHSS Balussery School and Idukki St Sebastian HSS Cheenthalar School. Cash prizes would be given to schools which top in youth parliament competitions from this year onwards. The school which bags the first prize would be awarded Rs 10,000, Rs 5000 for the second prize and for the third, fourth and fifth places, Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000.The school which was adjudged the first place would do a repeat performance at the Assembly Hall on September 2. The CM said that the inauguration of the 2011-12 youth Parliament competition would be held in Malappuram on September 23.
