EXPLOSION IN PAKISTAN
(30 killed, over 50 hurt in Pakistan explosion)
Thirty people were killed and over 50 were injured when a huge blast tore through a packed mosque in northwest Pakistan Friday, 19th, August, 2011, afternoon,. The deafening blast occurred around 2 a.m. in the mosque in Jamrud district in Khyber Agency bordering Afghanistan; Xinhua cited a TV channel as reporting. Hundreds of people were offering Friday prayers inside the mosque when the explosion took place. The mosque was destroyed.
