NOORANAD HANIF AWARD-2011

V.M Davadas has been selected for the maiden Nooranad Hanif award. His novel"Pannivetta" was selected by a jury comprising writers Dr Geroge Onakkoor, Candramathi, and B.Murali. the award, instituted by the Noornad Hanif Anusmarana Samithy, carries a cash prize of Rs 12,221, a citation and a trophy. It will be presented to Mr Devadas by poet and Jnanpith laurate Prof ONV Kurup on August 5th at a function organised to commemorate the fifth death anniversary of the writer at Kollam. The award winner Mr Devadas works for an IT company in Chennai.
