TRIBUTE PAID TO
FORMER BUREAUCRAT V.G CYRIAC

Former bureaucrat V G Cyriac, who held senior positions in Kerala before and after independence, died,Thiruvananthapuram on 18th Friday, August,2011. He was 102 age.
  He is survived by four sons and four daughters. His wife had predeceased him several years ago. A Law graduate, Cyriac entered the government service as a magistrate in the erstwhile princely state of Trvancore in 1940. He later became district collector of Kollam and Kannur and served as the first secretary of Revenue Land Board before retiring in 1967. He had also served as private secretary to Travancore-Cochin chief minister A J John in 1952.Hailing from Kuravilangad in Kottayam, he was associated with the Kerala Catholic Congress.
