MBILLINOTH SOUTH ASIAN AWARD TO KSITM
The mobile governance ( m-governance) project designed by the Kerala State Information Technology Mission (KSITN) has bagged the mBillinoth South Asian Award-2011 in the m -governance category.
KSITM is an autonomous model information technology implementation agency which provided managerial support to various initiatives of the state government. KSITM mission co ordinator Sabarish K received the award at a function in new Delhi on July 23. The mBillonth Award is instituted by the Digital Empowerment Foundation and supported by the Department of information Technology, New Delhi, and the National International Exchange of India. It is conceived as a dedicated platform to explore the latent potential of mobile and telecom secors across south Asian countries.
the mBillionth Award 2011 honoured excellence in mobile and telecom innovations,key innovative applications services, and innovations in the arena of mobile technology and applications that helped connect rural masses with the external world.
