TWO GIRLS DROWN IN MUVATUPUZHA RIVER

Two girls drown in Muvatupuzha River

     The body of Elizabeth (12), who went missing Sunday while bathing in the Muvatupuzha river at Kallidumbilkadavu, was recovered Monday(11^th July,2011).She is the daughter of Savio, the brother of former Kottayam Archbishop Mar Kuriakkose Kunnathussery.
In a tragic incident Sunday,(10-07-20110 two girls, Elizabeth and her cousin Sara Joseph (Neelu, 17) had gone to the banks of the river and were swept away. The body of Sara was recovered Sunday. Sandeep (10), son of Karisseryil Babu, saw the duo being swept away and had called out for help.Local people gathered and tried to rescue the girls. The girls were on a visit to their relative's house at Piravom.
