                  WILD ELEPHANTS ENTERED HUMAN HABITATIONS

   Tusker killed three of family in Orissa. three members of a family were killed by a wild tusker at Thariasanda village in the Bhubaneswar forest range area in Dhenkanal district of Orissa early Tuesday, 7th June,2011.
   Madan Hembram (42),his wife Suni Hembram (35) and their three-year old daughter Cheni Hembram were asleep when the elephant attacked them. Madan's five year old son, however escaped with injuries. the tusker first trampled Madan and his daughter to death who were sleeping out side the house. It then entered  the house by damaging the mud wall and attacked Suni and her son. While Madan and his daughter died on the spot. Suni died of injuries while rushed to a hospital. Incidents of wild elephants entering human habitations have become a regular  feature in the state
