TRIBUTE PAID TO DR K.K. RAHULAN

Dr K. K. Rahulan, 81, the former president of the SNDP Yogam, has passed away on Monday, 13th, June,2011 at a private hospital in Kozhikode where he was undergoing treatment for cancer. He was a resident of Edamuttom in Trichur district. His body was kept at his son’s residence at Kozhikodu and later taken to his native town in Thrissur. Dr Rahulan was the SNDP president from 1992 to 1996 and had served as the secretary of the S.N Trust. He was the state president of the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
He was active in the science education movement through the Kerala Sastra Sahithya Parishad (KSSP) of which he was the state president for some time. Dr Rahulan was a member of the executive committee of the Kerala Sahithya Akedemi. He was a front line leader of the anti liquor movement. A native of Edamattom in thrissur. Dr Rahulan retired from government service from Kozhikodu Dr Rahulan had also authored books, including one on Sree Narayana Guru.
He is survived by his wife Dr Saroj Rahulan and two sons Dr Sunil Rahulan and Dr Vijil Rahulan. The cremation was at SNDP cemetery on 14th June,2011.
