           NAVY'S FAREWELL TO
AIR MARSHAL SUMIT MUKHERJI

    The Air Marshal Sumit Mukherji is retiring from the Indian Air Force (IAF) on June 30 after nearly 40 years of distinguished service.
    A veteran fighter pilot,Air Marshal Mukherji has over 3700 hours of flying experience on various fighter air craft. He is the only pilot in the history of the IAF to have commended units with the MiG 21, MiG 25, MiG 27 and MiG-29 aircraft. He has also served as the Air Attache in the Indian Embassy at Washington. He arrived at the Naval Base Kochi, on Friday 10th June, 2011 on a farewell visit
