NOTED LITERATEUR P. GOVINDA PILLAI
Noted Literateur Mr P. Govinda pillai has been chosen for this years T.K Ramakrishnan Award instituted by the Abu Dhabi Sakthi Award Committee. The award carrying a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and a citation, for his contribution in Literary, cultural and political spheres
The award would be presented to Mr Pillai along with the Abu Dhabi Sakthi Awards for various branches of Literature for 2011. Neelamperoor Madhusoodanan Nair's "Kadaliloru kadal pole" has won this years award for poetry. R. Unni's" Kottayam 17" for short story, John Fernadez's" Fernandezinte Naadankangal for plays and Ramesan Blathoor's" Perum Al for novel. Each award carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a citation.
The scholarly Literature award won jointly by V.R Prabodachandran and A.S Prashanth Krishnan. The children's Literature award has been won by M.K Manoharan. The Thayat award for Literary criticism has been won by N.K Ravindran..
