Vellappally Natesan was re-elected Secretary of the S.N Trust on Saturday, 30th April,2011. this is the sixth time in succession that Mr Natesan is getting elected the trust secretary unanimously. M.N Soman was re- elected chairman, G. Chandrababu re-elected assistant secretary, and G. Jayadevan re-elected treasurer.
  The elections to the executive committee followed the phase wise elections held in 10 regions to the1329 member director board of the trust, the tenure of which is three years. Industrialist V.R Prasad, cardiologist V. Jayaram, and N.K Padmanbhan Vaidyan of the Kamilari group were nominated to the board as expert members.
   The trust set up in 1952 by R.ankar with a capital of Rs 12 lakh, has assets worth over Rs 150 crore and run 16 Colleges a similar number of Schools, a Polytechnic College, a Paramedical College, a nursing College, a BEd College, an Engineering College and many hospitals.. Natesan said the S.N Trust would work with greater commitment in the fields of education, health and social welfare. there were plans to up grade R. Sankar Hospital in Kollam to a Medical College.
