Aby Thomas certified ’First International Professional Engineer’
Aby Thomas has been certified by the Institution of Engineers (India) as the first International Professional Engineer (India) in all engineering disciplines. Aby Thomas is licensed to practice in the following countries including the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei), Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka and India who are member countries of the Engineers Mobility Forum (EMF), which is an International Recognition Agreement for Professional Engineers, ratified at the International Engineering Alliance General Assembly at Kyoto, Japan in June 2009.
The Institution of Engineers (India) is the only organization permitted to certify engineering professional in all engineering disciplines as Professional Engineers in Indiaon behalf of the Government of India through an Act of the Indian Parliament. Kottayam-born Aby Thomas is a member of the Malankara Orthodox Church and currently is a member of the St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Cathedral, Kingdom of Bahrain working in the Bahrain Petroleum Company, Bahrain as Senior Engineer.
