ABU BACKER AWARD FOR V. SREEDHARAN

Abu backer award for V. Sreedharan

     T. Abubacker Football Award instituted by T. Abubacker memorial Trust, Kozhikode will be presented to former football player V Sreedharan, who had played during 1950-60, at a function on March 13, here. A forward, Sreedharan had played for Kozhikode Young challengers Club and Malabar XI. Among the tournament Sreedharan had played includes,the Rovers Cup, and the Cuttack Kalimga Cup  Sreedharan has been chosen for the award considering that he had scored a goal for Malabar XI while playing against Karachi Kickers' in the first floodlit match played in Kozhikode in 1954.
