Varun Gandhi wed graphic designer Yamini Roy Chowdhury at a temple on the banks of the Ganda in Varanasi on Sunday 6th March,2011.Mr Varun Gandhi, 30,who wore a cream'Kurta-dhoti 'with saffron angavastram,ties the knot at the Kamakoti Temple on Hanuman Ghat. Kachi Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati participated in the function.
Ms Yamini,who hails from Shantiniketan, west Bengal,has studied in St. Stephens College Delhi and in France. She wore a pink saree gifted by Indira Gandhi to her daughter in law Maneka Gandhi 40 years ago.
Bharatiya Janata Party's M.P from Piliphit,Mr Varun Gandhi, is the youngest grand child of Ms Indira Gandhi and son of Sanjay Gandhi. Neither senior BJP leaders nor any one from Sonia Gandhi's family was present.
