Security strengthened:
To maintain law and order and provide security to the tourists, more police personnel will be deployed. The hotels, the restaurants and other business establishments dotting the walk way atop the cliff have been asked to shut shop by 11.30 pm. The trade has agreed to the suggestion put forward by the police.
The police will take stern action against drunk driving and the taxi and auto rickshaw drivers who charge exorbitant rates for taking the tourists from the railway station and the town to the beach destination.
