SURFACE TO SURFACE MISSILE -DHANUSH, PRITHVI-II FIRED SUCCESSFULLY

     India's Missile with nuclear warheads fired the Dhaush and Prithvi-II missiles within a gap of an hour on Friday 11th March,2011, establishing the readiness of the country's nuclear deterrence system.
    The Dhanush and the Prithvi -II,both surface- to surface missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads, are products of the Defense Research and Development organisation (DRDO) Dhanush fired from the warship " Suvarna' at 10.03 am off puri, Orissa, Prithvi II at 11 am from a massive truck stationed at the integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur, near Balasore, Orissa. Both Dhanush and Prithvi-II can carry nuclear warheads weighing 500 kg each
