Sree Shanmukhananda sangeetha Sabha organised this years Thyaga raja music Festival at New
Delhi on Saturday 5th March,2011. Mr N. Rm, Editor-in- chief of The Hindu inaugurated the festival.
The Sabha honoured musicians T.K Govinda Rao and Suguna Purushothaman with the Nadya Kalanidhi award. Dacers Professor C.V Chandrashekahar and Anita Guha with the Natya Ratna award and actor-play wrights Crazy Mohan and Kathadi Ramamurthy with the Nataka Ratnam award. The former Attorney General of India K. Parasaran, who was awarded the Padma Vibhushan this year, was also honoured. Sabha president Mohan Parasan welcomed the gathering.
