KINFRA ANIMATION SCHOOL IN THIRUVANANTHAPURAM

    The Kinfra animation School, set up at the kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation of Film and Vides park in Thiruvananthapuram ,is being readied for launch by June,2011. the School, set up on 75 acres at Kazhakuttam will function in the public private participatory mode.
    The Kinfra animation Schjool infrastructure will launch animation courses in collaboration with a private partner, to be selected through a transparent procedure which has already begun. The private partners will have to invest about Rs 7 crore in the project, which has total out lay of Rs 21 crore. The association intends to facilitate the introduction of long term degree programmes that will help establish animation and gaming as serious long tern career choices.
   the global animation market is expected to reach $ 100 billion by 2012. The increased interest of domestic cinema industry in animation has also helped the industry.
