Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy to Join Earth Hour Observance
The Members of the Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy & the society of Computer Science and Research to observe earth Hour2011 on March 26 between 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm. The Kavya Kala Sahithy members observing the Earth Hour, during which all lights will be put out for an hour through the world in a gesture of caring for Mother Earth.
Delhi will join nearly a billion people in Mumbai, Los Angelis,London, Hong Kong, Sydney, Rome,Manila, Singapore, Dubai and over 6000 other cities in 130 countries across the globe to observe the Earth hour March 26. The message of the Earth Hour this year is to go beyond the hour, and commit to a more sustainable way of living, every day and not just for an hour. It calls for individual action. Earth Hour is an international event supported by environment group.
The Highlight of this years Earth Hour observances will be an oath taken by School children. The crux of the resolution is that as a responsible world citizen, every one who is aware of the fast deterioration of our environment will strive to reduce energy consumption even by changing ways of life.
