RELIGION AND SCIENCE SHOULD GO HAND IN HAND

      Religion and Science should go hand in hand and the best religion is the one that reforms and refines society. Mr G. Madhavan Nair, former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has said. He wa inaugurated the 99th annual Hindu religious meet organised by the Hindumatha Mahmandalam at a specially prepared venu on the sand-bed of the pampa at Cherukolpuzha, near Kozhencherry on Sundat 6th February,2011. He said that Upanishads and other ancient texts gave us accurate calculations on the movements of stars and plannets. Mr Madhavan Nair recalled the contribution of Chattampi Swami, Sree Narayana Guru, in removing untouchability that once prevailed in Hindu society.
   Sandeepananda Giri called upon the people not to believe in superstitions. The valedictory function to be held at 3 pm on February 13.
