Paruthumpara is a beautiful tourist place in Idukki district. a developing view point near Peerumedu, giving an eye catching view of Pampa and Sabarimala Forest. The KPCTA of St. Gregorios College unit visited the Parunthumpara on 22nd &23rd January,2011. The study team included Prof John Kurakar, Prof.Varghese John,Prof.P.K Varghese, Prof Raju Thomas, Prof G.Jacob,Prof V.G Sreekumar, Prof Varghee Panicker, Prof T.S Joy. The team also visited Panchalimedu, Vagamon Kurisumala Ashram, Kurisumala Hilltop and historical places
