Major Rajiv Shankar has been awarded Sena Medal for Gallentry by the
president of India. This is his fourth award for gallantry. He is already the recipient of Sena Medal. His present award of Bar of Sena Medal is for an act of gallantry for fighting terrorists in Kashmir valley while serving with 55 Rashtriya Rifles
