DIGVIJAY SINGH'S CONTROVERSIAL REPORT

DIGVIJAY SINGH'S CONTROVERSIAL REPORT

“A conversation with the Mumbai Anti-Terrorist squad(ATS) chief Hemant Karkare shortly before was killed by terrorists on 26/11 Karkare had apparently told Mr Singh that he feared for his safety from Hindu extremists”
BJP's chief spokes person Ravi Shankar Prasa, claiming that Mr Singh's comments had harmed country's security.
Kavita Karkare, the wife of Anti-Terrorism squad officer Hemant Karkare slammed congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Saturday 11th December,2010 for suggestions that Hindu out fits could have killed Karkare, saying the parties should stop playing politics around the sacrifice of martyrs.
She also said such statements would benefit Pakistan while  the need of the hour was to punish the Pakistani terrorists behind the 26/11 attacks. Mr Singh had said that Karkare had called him hours before the attack and expressed  fear for his safety from Hindu fundamentalists.” This issue should not have been raked up two years after the incident.
