India is a world power. The United States will work with India to promote peace and stability and to set the rules of interaction with other nations.
Mr. Obama believe that the partnership between the US and India will be the defining one of the 21st century. These are the two largest democracies that share extraordinary people to people contact and also a certain set of values”.
The US president also stressed that he wanted to strengthen co operation to focus on issues like counter- terrorism’ as both India and US have to deal with this menace.
