INDIA AND CANADA SIGN
NUCLEAR AGREEMENT
India and Canada on 28th June,2010 signed a civil nuclear co-operation agreement. Prime Minister Manmohan singh said” It reflects the change in International realities” Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper also welcomed the agreement. He said that the agreement will provide access for Canada’s nuclear indistry to India’s expanding nuclear market. Both nations also agreed to try and take the bilateral trade up 15 Billion Doller in the next five years, up from the current level of around 5 billion doller.
Other areas in which they agreed to increase cooperation are earth sciences and minig transportation, natural resources, infrastructure, agriculture and agri food cooperation and higher education.
