MR NARENDRA MODI APPEARED BEFORE THE SIT
Gujarat chief minister Mr Narendra Modi appeared before the supreme court appointed special investigation team on Saturday 27th March 2010. Mr Modi reached the SIT office at 11.55 am Modi said to the questioning offices that “ I wanted this to be finished to day itself so I have agreed to return here by about 9 pm to answer further questions” The questions were put by SIT officer A.K Malhotra, retired DIG of the the CBI, who is the office investigating the Zakia Jaffrey complaint against Modi and 62 others in connection with the 2002 communal riots in the state.
Modi said that he always believed that the Constitution was supreme and as a citizen and as the chief Minister he was bound maintained, that no one was above law”
